Mini Lift

In persons with incipient changes due to facial skin laxity, a minilift can
offer a fresher look with the advantage of shorter scars and less recuperation
time.  Under local anesthesia and sedation, an incision is made in natural
creases in front of the ear and around the earlobe.  The skin is lifted in a
more limited area, the underlying tissues are suspended and the excess skin
is removed.  The patient can return home the same day and the area of
swelling can be concealed with a scarf or the patient’s hair.  The
relatively undamaged skin in these patients generally permits a very gratifying
result.
