Cheek Implants

When there exist deficiencies in the volume of the cheek bones,
solid implants can give increased prominence in this area resulting in a more
balanced and youthful width to length ratio of the face.  Under local
anesthesia and sedation, small incisions are made inside the mouth and
pockets are developed next to the bone in the desired areas.  Implants of
the adequate size and shape are inserted and absorbable stitches are used
to close the incisions.  The patient can return home the same day.
