Butt Lift

This procedure is indicated in cases where there is a true ptosis or drooping of
the gluteus region that cannot be addressed with liposuction, implants or
lipoinjections.  Under regional anesthesia, an incision from the hips to a
point above the crease between the buttocks is made.  The skin and fat of
the gluteus area is undermined and elevated, and the excess is removed.

The remainder is repositioned and fixed in a higher more esthetic position,
and a compressive absorbent bandage is applied.  The patient remains in
the hospital overnight.  A compression garment that will help to maintain the
new position and shape is to be worn 3 to 6 weeks.
